Smart and micro lockdown decision in all districts of Karachi

 Smart lockdown will be implemented in four districts while micro lockdown will be implemented in two districts

KARACHI: Due to the second wave of Corona epidemic in the country and increase in the number of patients, Commissioner Karachi has decided to implement Smart and Micro Lockdown in all districts of Quaid-e-Azam.

Smart lockdown will be implemented in four districts while micro lockdown will be implemented in two districts. Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalawani directed all Deputy Commissioners to consult the concerned health officers and issue notification by today or tomorrow.

Deputy Commissioners of South, East, Central and West will issue notification of Smart Lockdown by tomorrow while micro lockdown will be implemented in Korangi and Malir districts.

In the last 24 hours, 2,738 new cases of corona were reported across the country and 36 more deaths occurred. The total number of patients in Sindh has reached one lakh 59 thousand 752.
