ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a notorious criminal on appeals filed in Azizia reference and Avonfield reference.
According to Express News, a two-judge bench headed by Justice Amir Farooq heard Nawaz Sharif's appeals in the Azizia reference and Avonfield reference in the Islamabad High Court. Additional Attorney General Tariq Khokhar appeared before the court while Nawaz Sharif's London residence. Certified receipts for delivery of the advertisement via Royal Mail were also presented before the court.
Foreign Ministry official Mubashir Khan appeared before the court to record his statement. Before recording the statement, Deputy Attorney General Syed Tayyab Shah administered oath to Mubashir Khan and presented documents related to Nawaz Sharif's court summons.
The court asked the Deputy Attorney General whether the advertisement was printed in Urdu or in English. Deputy Attorney General Syed Tayyab Shah replied that the advertisement was printed in English only. The court then inquired whether the text given to you by the Registrar's Office was the same.
