Deadline for federal government to publish petrol crisis investigation report till December 14

 

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has given the federal government until December 14 to make public its investigation report into the petrol crisis and price hike.

When the case related to petrol crisis and price hike was heard in the Lahore High Court, the Additional Attorney General appeared before the court and said that the investigation into the petrol crisis has been completed and the investigation report has been sent to the Cabinet for publication.

Chief Justice High Court Qasim Khan said that why the report has not been made public so far, if the report is not made public by the next hearing then all the parties will appear in court.

The court gave the federal government until December 14 to make the report public. Chief Justice Qasim Khan ordered the head of the commission, Abu Bakar Khudabakhsh, to appear on December 14 if the report was not made public.

Justice Qasim Khan remarked that Prime Minister Imran Khan says that the report of every case should be made public then why it did not happen? The head of the commission should submit the report in a sealed envelope to the court. The Prime Minister says that the report on every issue should be made public. Then why it did not happen?

The Additional Attorney General said that the report was not part of the agenda in yesterday's cabinet meeting, the report will be presented in the next cabinet meeting.
