Following the popularity of "Ertugrul Ghazi", another Turkish drama "Younis Emre / Amra" will soon be aired on PTV. Commenting on the drama in May this year, Senator Faisal Javed had said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed another Turkish drama, Younis Emre, to be aired on PTV. Yesterday, Faisal Javed Khan tweeted about the re-emergence of "Younis Emre" on PTV, saying that Younis Emre (Sufi Darwish) was a 13th century Islamic Sufi poet and a village fakir. On the other hand, the trailer of "Younis Emre" dubbed in Urdu was released from PTV's official Twitter account yesterday. The drama will be presented in Pakistan under the name "Rah-e-Ishq".
Who is Younis Emre?
Younis Emre (1320-1238) was a famous Turkish Sufi poet who lived in Anatolia in the 13th century, much of what is now called Turkey.
A lot of authentic information about the life of Younis Emre is lost in the pages of history, but many stories of his life are still an important part of Turkish folk tales that are read, heard and sung with great interest.
