Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani opposes closure of all educational institutions


 KARACHI: Sindh Education and Labor Minister Saeed Ghani has opposed the closure of all educational institutions.

Saeed Ghani presented his position in the NCOC meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood that this year children will not be promoted in classes without examinations.

Saeed Ghani suggested that not all educational institutions should be closed, but primary schools with enrollment of 73% should be closed while all classes of class 6 and above should be continued, as well as ninth, tenth, eleventh. And it should not be decided to take the twelfth exams in May and June, but the matter should be postponed and decided later in view of the situation while all non-teaching activities in educational institutions should be completely closed throughout the year. Saeed Ghani demanded that in order to provide financial relief to small private schools, tuition and coaching centers, loans should be provided on easy terms through banks on which interest "should be paid by the federal government so that these private schools do not suffer financially".
