Religious madrassas will not be closed in Korona epidemic, Federation of Madrassas announces
PESHAWAR: Central Secretary General of the Federation of Arab Madrassas of Pakistan Maulana Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari has announced that religious schools will not be closed in the Corona epidemic.
Maulana Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari visited Zubair University Peshawar and met the students of the madrassa. Maulana Qari Mohammad Hanif Jalandhari while addressing a press conference along with other central leaders of Ittehad-e-Tanzeemat Madrassas said that the attack on Jamia Zubairia is an attack on all Madrassas and it is a national tragedy, Prime Minister Imran Khan himself should have come here. The Central General Secretary of the Federation of Arab Madrassas of Pakistan said that we are the guardians of Islam and the government should strengthen the madrassas, continue its struggle to preserve the role of religious madrassas, arresting the characters behind this tragedy. However, the government's statement to call it an external conspiracy is insufficient and action is needed.
Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari said that madrassas would not be closed under Corona SOPs as the decision to close educational institutions was not taken in consultation with the federation of madrassas. He added that there was no other opinion that the PTI government was incompetent.
It may be recalled that Maulana Rahimullah Haqqani was teaching Mushkoot Sharif at Zubair University on Tuesday, October 27, at around 8 am when a bomb exploded in which nine students were killed and several others injured.
