Corps Commander Conference expresses grave concern over Indian efforts to destabilize Pakistan
RAWALPINDI: The Corps Commander Conference has expressed grave concern over Indian-sponsored terrorism in the country.
According to DG ISPR, a Corps Commander Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in which the geo-strategic, regional and national security situation was reviewed. The Forum also took a comprehensive look at the positive developments in the Afghan peace process and discussed the country's internal security, including the borders and the Indian atrocities in the LoC, Occupied Kashmir.
The Forum expressed grave concern over Indian-sponsored terrorism and attempts to destabilize Pakistan, saying that India was involved in financing terrorist organizations, sabotaging C-Pak and spreading unrest in Pakistan. Therefore, training of terrorists is against peace and security in the region.
The forum also discussed the recent increase in ceasefire violations by Indian forces on the LOC and the recent increase in ceasefire violations. The Forum vowed to take all possible steps to save the innocent civilians residing with the LOC from Indian firing and to defend the motherland against any wrongdoing. Efforts to destabilize Balochistan are also against peace and security in the region.
The forum also considered the situation of COD-19 and the steps required to combat epidemics after the second wave. The Chief of Army Staff, in particular, directed all the commanders to take steps to support the national efforts and said that the Pakistan Army was fully prepared to overcome all internal and external challenges with the cooperation of state institutions and the nation.
