India bans 43 Chinese mobile apps, including Ali Express

New Delhi: For the second time this year, India has decided to shut down 43 more Chinese mobile applications across the country.

According to Indian media, after the clashes in Ladakh, India has once again shut down China's leading mobile apps across the country, including the Alibaba Group's Ali Express application.

A statement from India Ministry of Technology said that the mobile apps being banned were working against the countrys integrity and sovereignty.Earlier, India had banned 170 mobile apps, saying they were stealing users' data and posing a threat to the country.

Indias Ministry of Technology has once again called the ban on mobile apps a digital strike on China, saying those working against the country's integrity would be met with a harsh response.

On the other hand, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman called the Indian move a violation of the guiding principles of world trade and demanded the lifting of the ban.

It should be noted that the ban on mobile apps in India has come to light after 20 soldiers were killed by the Chinese army during clashes in the border area of   Ladakh in June this year.
